,What is painting? A painting can be many things, but for me it is an extension of my thought process. What is the precursor to painting​? We know painting can be "itself" as paint, We also know painting can be disguised as the vehicle to illusion. The space between illusion and fact, process and inevitability, can be seen on scale through the imagination, as large as a universe, or as small as a particle wave. The distance between extremes collapses instantaneously in a micro-implosion, that sparks possibility. A thought forms in the aftermath of these unseen etheric events. Lines and shapes form, only to remain available for a brief moment, much like the fruit on trees (an extended temporal example), before they become unrecognizable and fall into entropic dust (almost instantaneously) caught by the breeze of shifting attention. It is my intention that allows for these shapes to reveal themselves to me. My real work as an artist is to be a caretaker of these ephemeral apparitions and guide them into existence. Their forms and shapes speak to what is needed for them to become visible. They "speak" to me and I move forward, allowing for the process to be paramount. From thought to no thought, into silence, each move brings me further into the flow.
